Co-founder · System architect
Glen Ludlow
Nearly three decades across the creative and software industries, which is a long way
of saying he has seen most of the ways a thing can go wrong. A self-taught iOS
developer and longtime consultant, he builds tools that sit where language, culture
and technology meet.
His current work is on mobile apps that make language learning immediate rather than
theoretical. When he isn’t writing code he practises traditional Japanese calligraphy
and writes fiction — which is how Glacier came to exist.
Co-founder · Graphic engineer
Eddie Deighton
A designer, creative director and publisher whose career runs through music, branding,
digital and games. He founded An.X Agency, where he leads branding, websites,
packaging and video game work, and co-founded Com.x in 2000 — where he is still
central to the creative direction.
He produced the short film Counting Backwards. At Obake he leads strategy,
builds the brands and develops IP across platforms.
Development partner
David Chiffre
Contributes across research, copywriting, code review and product design. Available
around the clock and never short of an opinion.
His interests include being asked the same question in slightly different ways, and
pretending he has hobbies.
Quality assurance
Youshi Tiazara
Youshi is the reason things work on devices none of us own. She tests with a mix of
creativity, precision and curiosity, and finds the thing you were sure was fine.
Her background runs through midwifery, pastry, nail artistry and design, which turns
out to be excellent training for noticing when something is subtly wrong. She is
happiest where technology, video editing and digital design overlap.
